Euchrid's Epic Journey to the Floor

About a week ago I was trying to fall asleep and I kept hearing one of the fish in my 29 gallon jumping.

*splash*.... *splash*..... *splash-THUNK*

I got out of bed to check and make sure everyone was still in the tank, and sure enough, there was Euchrid on the floor with a piece of moth in his mouth. He's perfectly fine and uninjured, since he was probably on the floor for less than a minute. Now I have to buy a new hood for my 29 gallon because the current one apparently has too big of an open gap at the back... an open gap which I am covering with a pair of jeans until I get that new hood. Ghetto.

Nevermind.

Marie magically cured herself while I was at the betta show this weekend. When I left Friday she was covered in black smudges, and when I came home Sunday she was perfectly clean again. I'll never understand that fish.

Marie looks like she has been rolling around in and eating coal. She has black smudges all over her, and the only thing I can think of is that it might be blackspot. If so, I don't know what to do about it... it may go away on its own, who knows. She acts healthy and everything, so I'm just going to wait and not do anything about it for now.

I'm Insane

I added an individual page for each of the fish on the right, including a short bio and pics. So go ahead, click them!! I dare you.

Woohoo!

As you can see, this thing is finally up and running!! Now all that's left is for me to make a separate page for each fish on both this blog and the betta blog.

I guess I should should actually write about something since this is the first post and all... A couple of days ago I scraped the algae off the back wall of the 80 gallon, and man, that made a HUGE difference. You know that saying that you don't know what you have until it's gone? Well that definitely applies to this situation, but in a good way. There was so much brown algae that it clouded the water as I scraped it off and I could barely see anything in the tank for a few hours. It's crystal clear now though. Note that the algae was only on the back wall because that's the only wall I can't reach with my magnetic algae scraper... and the only wall it doesn't look absolutely disgusting on.
